Privacy Policy

Movair ("Movair", "we", "us") provides chauffeured airport transfers and private car services in Melbourne, Victoria. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or book a trip, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to align with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information we collect
When you request a fare or make a booking, we collect:
- Name, phone number and email address
- Pickup and drop-off locations, trip date and time
- Flight number, for flights we are tracking on your behalf
- Passenger count, luggage and any notes, vehicle or accessibility preferences you add
If you apply to drive for Movair, we additionally collect your date of birth, driver's licence and Commercial Passenger Vehicle accreditation details, and vehicle information you provide.
We do not collect payment card details through this website. Fares are settled directly with your driver by cash, card or bank transfer as agreed at the time of booking.
How we use your information

- To contact you about a booking, by email, phone, SMS or WhatsApp
- To review and respond to driver applications
- To prevent spam and false bookings
- To meet legal, safety and accreditation obligations
We use your email address for your booking and trip updates. We don't send marketing emails, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Your trip link
You don't need an account. Instead, each booking has a private link that we email to you; it opens your trip page, where you can see your fare, status and driver, accept your fare or cancel. Anyone who has the link can view that trip, so please keep it private. If you lose it, the "Find my trip" page emails the links for your trips to the address you booked with.
Who we share it with
Your trip details are shared with the driver assigned to your booking, so they can find and identify you. We don't share your email address with drivers. We use Supabase, a third-party database and authentication provider, to securely store booking and driver-application data.
Other providers help us run the website: Vercel hosts it; Resend delivers our emails (your name, email address and trip details pass through it); Google Maps Platform suggests addresses and draws the route map (the text you type into the address boxes, and your pickup and drop-off addresses, are sent to Google for this); and we may use a messaging service such as Telegram to alert our team when a new booking or driver application arrives — those alerts contain the details you entered. Some of these providers process information outside Australia.
We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the safety of passengers, drivers or the public.
Cookies and local storage
Our booking form uses your browser's local storage to remember trip details you've entered, so you don't have to retype them if you leave and come back. This stays on your device — it is not sent to us until you submit the form. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. To protect the site from abuse we briefly use your IP address to limit how often a form can be submitted.
Data retention
We keep booking records for as long as reasonably necessary for service, accounting and legal purposes, and driver-application records for as long as needed to assess and, if approved, onboard the applicant. You can ask us to delete personal information we hold about you; we'll do so unless we're required to keep it.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us using the details below. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
